Terms of Service
These terms describe your agreement with Cloud Ninja Consulting ApS when you use Norly.io. Please read them carefully — they apply both if you support a creator and if you receive support yourself.

2.What Norly is — and isn't
Norly is a payment and administration layer on top of the content a creator already publishes elsewhere (typically a podcast feed, a YouTube channel, or a blog). We facilitate the connection between fans and creators and handle the technical side of payments via Stripe.
Norly is not a content hosting service, not a marketplace, and not a bank. We don't hold money ourselves — all amounts go directly from the fan's card to the creator's own Stripe Connect account. We don't charge a platform fee on top of Stripe's standard fees (unless clearly stated otherwise on the pricing page).
3.Parties to the agreement
When a fan supports a creator via Norly, two separate agreements are formed:
- Between fan and creator — the support itself. Norly is not a party to this agreement; we facilitate it.
- Between the individual (fan or creator) and Norly — these terms, which govern use of the platform.
This also means that disputes about content quality, publishing frequency, or the creator's other obligations are a matter between fan and creator. Norly only intervenes in cases of suspected fraud, legal violations, or platform abuse.
4.Account and registration
Who can create an account
To create an account as a fan or creator you must be at least 15 years old (Denmark's digital age of consent for processing of personal data). If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must accept payment obligations on your behalf. To create a creator account and receive payments, you must be at least 18 years old and be able to complete Stripe's onboarding (KYC).
Security
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Activity carried out via your account is assumed to have been carried out by you. If you suspect misuse, change your password immediately and write to hey@norly.io.
Accurate information
The information you provide — particularly your name, email, and payment details — must be accurate and up to date. If there is indication that the information is false, we may suspend the account until the situation is clarified.
5.Payments
Payment provider
All payments are handled by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. When you enter card details, they go directly to Stripe — Norly never sees or stores your card data. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment itself and are available at stripe.com/legal/consumer.
Three support models
- One-time support — you pay a single amount once. No commitment, no automatic renewal.
- Monthly support — your card is charged every month with the amount you have chosen. You can cancel at any time; future charges stop immediately.
- Per release — your card is charged each time the creator publishes something new on their connected feed. You set a monthly cap so we never charge more than the agreed amount regardless of how much the creator publishes. You can cancel at any time.
Amounts and currency
All amounts in Denmark are shown and charged in Danish kroner (DKK). The minimum amount per support is 5 kr. You can change or cancel your active support at any time under My subscriptions.
Fees
Norly does not charge a separate platform fee. Stripe deducts its standard fee (typically 1.4% + 1.80 kr. per transaction for Danish cards) directly from the amount the creator receives. The current fees are set out on our pricing page.
6.Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel monthly support and per-release support at any time under My subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect immediately — no further payments will be charged.
One-time support payments and already-processed charges are not refunded as a rule. The full refund policy is on /en/refunds.
7.Creator obligations
- You must own or have all rights to the content for which you use Norly to receive support.
- You may not use Norly to receive payment for content that is illegal in Denmark, including but not limited to pornographic content involving minors, incitement to violence, hate speech that violates Danish criminal law, or counterfeit goods.
- You must complete Stripe's KYC onboarding (identity and business information) before you can receive payments. Stripe may, for its own reasons, reject or pause your account; that is an agreement between you and Stripe, not between you and Norly.
- You are solely responsible for declaring and paying tax on the income you receive via Norly. We provide transaction overviews that can be used for accounting and tax returns.
- You must not mislead your supporters about what they are supporting (e.g. promising exclusive content you don't deliver). Repeated complaints may lead to suspension.
8.Fan obligations
- You may only use payment cards that you own or have written permission to use.
- You must ensure there are sufficient funds on the card for the support you have activated. Repeated declined payments may lead to us pausing your support for a creator.
- Abuse of the chargeback mechanism (initiating a chargeback without cause after receiving service) may lead to us suspending your account and pursuing a compensation claim.
9.Content and rights
You retain all rights to the content you upload to Norly yourself (profile, description, images, FAQ answers). By uploading, you grant Norly a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on your public creator page and in the platform's UI for as long as your account is active.
Norly owns the platform itself — code, design, trademarks, and documentation. You may not copy, decompile, or reverse-engineer the platform beyond what applicable law permits.
10.Prohibited actions
You may not use Norly to:
- Commit fraud, launder money, or finance criminal activity
- Harass, threaten, or engage in stalking behaviour towards others
- Attempt to circumvent security mechanisms or access controls
- Send automated traffic that places unnecessary load on the platform
- Scrape data about other users without their consent
- Impersonate another creator or fan
Violations may result in immediate suspension without refund of ongoing support, as well as a possible report to the relevant authorities.
11.Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time under My subscriptions. Active support is cancelled automatically; financial records are kept for 5 years in accordance with Danish bookkeeping law, but anonymised so they cannot be linked back to you.
We may suspend or close an account if we have reason to believe it is being used for illegal purposes, in the event of missing KYC approval from Stripe, or for repeated violations of these terms. We will send a notice to the email on the account before closure, unless immediate action is necessary (e.g. suspected fraud).
12.Limitation of liability
Norly is provided "as is". We do our best to keep the platform available and error-free, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. In the event of downtime or data loss, our liability is limited to the fees you have paid to Norly in the past 12 months — which for the vast majority of users is zero, as we do not charge you directly.
We are not liable for:
- Content that creators publish via their own channels
- Loss caused by a creator stopping publishing content, losing their Stripe account, or otherwise ceasing to deliver what fans expect
- Indirect loss, including lost earnings or goodwill
- Force majeure: downtime caused by third-party services (Stripe, Supabase, Vercel) that we do not control ourselves
These limitations do not apply to liability arising from intentional or grossly negligent conduct on our part, or where mandatory consumer law prevents them.
13.Personal data
We process your personal data in accordance with our privacy policy. As the data controller, Cloud Ninja Consulting ApS is bound by GDPR and Danish data protection law. You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, and data portability — all available under My subscriptions.
14.Shutdown and wind-down
Norly commits to giving at least 60 days' notice to all active users before any permanent shutdown of the platform. During the notice period we will:
- Email all registered fans and creators with clear instructions on how to cancel active subscriptions.
- Export and make supporter lists available to creators so they can contact their fans directly.
- Provide a guide with links to Stripe's Customer Portal so fans can cancel independently without needing help from Norly.
- Cancel all ongoing subscriptions no later than the shutdown date, so no fan is surprised by a charge after closure.
Your Stripe Connect relationship is your own — independent of Norly. You keep it and can connect it to any other Stripe-based service. We never hold money on behalf of creators.
15.Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms, for example due to new legal requirements, new payment models, or clarifications. Material changes (fees, liability, user rights) will be notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect, so you have the opportunity to cancel first if you cannot accept them. Minor changes (text corrections, reformulations that don't change the substance) may be made without separate notice.
The date at the top of this page shows when the terms were last updated.
16.Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes should in the first instance be attempted to be resolved amicably by contacting hey@norly.io. If that is unsuccessful, disputes may be brought before the ordinary Danish courts with Copenhagen City Court as the court of first instance, unless consumer law gives you a better right of jurisdiction.
Consumers may also complain to the European Consumer Centre or use the EU's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
