About Norly

Built by one person from a small office in Denmark.

Norly isn't a big company with VC money and 50 engineers. It's a side project run by one person who wanted a decent Nordic platform for receiving support from fans without giving 5–12% to a middleman. When it didn't exist, this got built.

Who

Matias.

I'm a software developer based in Copenhagen. I listen to a lot of Danish podcasts and follow a fair few Danish YouTubers — and every time someone refers their fans to their bank details, MobilePay (a Danish mobile payment app), or a Patreon page, I think "this should be easier than this."

Norly is built in my spare time and run as a side project under the company Cloud Ninja Consulting ApS (CVR 46044118). That means you're dealing with a real legal entity and not an anonymous GitHub project — but also that I don't have a support team and often reply to emails in the evening.

If you want to get in touch: hey@norly.io. I read all emails personally.

Why

Patreon won a field that no longer exists.

If you've listened to a Danish podcast or followed a Danish YouTuber, you've probably come across the reference "support me via MobilePay" or a link to their bank account in the show notes. It works — but it's each creator's own ad-hoc solution. There's no dedicated Nordic product for that specific use case.

Norly isn't a community platform like Patreon. It's a payment layer you link to from your existing channels. Fans don't need to leave Spotify or YouTube — they just click your Norly link, pick an amount, and pay. You keep the community you already have.

The money goes directly from the fan's card to your Stripe account. We never receive it. We take 0% in platform fees — you only pay Stripe what Stripe would charge regardless of where you received the money.

Values

Three things that won't change.

01

We never touch the money

Money flows via Stripe Connect directly from fan to creator. We don't have an account where we could hold it back. If Norly shuts down, you keep your Stripe Connect relationship and all active subscriptions. We commit to 60 days' notice and will help your fans cancel properly.

02

No tracking

We set no analytics cookies. No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or third-party trackers. The only cookie set is the one Supabase uses to remember you're logged in.

03

Transparent pricing

Today we take 0%. If that changes, we'll give at least 60 days' notice. You can always cancel as a fan, and you can always export your data and delete your account as a creator.

Right now

Norly is in early phase.

The platform is stable and ready for real use — payments work, RSS feeds are polled automatically, fans can cancel themselves. But we're early. Only a few creators are on it right now, and a fair bit of polish is landing over the coming months. If you're an early creator, you're using the product before it's fully refined. In return: direct access to me. Write to hey@norly.io and you'll get a real person who reads feedback and acts on it.

If you want to follow along with what's coming: How it works has the built features. FAQ has the most common questions. The rest comes from using the platform and telling us what's missing.

Ready to give it a go?

Account creation takes 2 minutes. Stripe onboarding an extra 5. You can delete the account again whenever you want if it's not for you.
